Ridgeway National Trail
We've decided to start some "serious" walking, both for enjoyment and for health
Our first "big" target is the Ridgeway National Trail, which runs 85 miles from West Kennet in the west to Ivinghoe in the east
NOTE: there seems to be some debate over the exact starting point, is it West Kennet, Avebury or Overton Hill. I'm not sure, but just to confuse things, on the OS 1:25,000 Explorer maps, I did spot some more sections marked "Ridgeway" in a gothic script, but these didn't have the green background that the main ridgeway has, so are they parts of the "Ridgeway" ??
