Ridgeway - Fox Hill to Barbury Castle (6th May 2006)
Set off from the pub car park, weather was looking like another hot day, so I'd taken 3 1/2 litres of drink, but as it turned out, the day got colder, not hotter !
There were strange cows climbing over Liddington hill fort !
Really nice section from Ogbourne St.George to Barbury, looking back to the ridgeline from Liddington
Walking towards the Barbury hill fort car park, you pass a small cafe, so we stopped for a big mug of tea and a bacon bap - yumm
On the way back to pick up the other car, we finally saw what the "something" in the sky was, there was a kite meet, lots of kites flying, including a giant octopus. We also saw more of the Liddington cows, standing atop the castle surveying the countryside !!
